Mare out 4 is preparing to come to life. Tonight at 9.20pm on Rai 2 the fifth and sixth episodes air of the series, from the title Question of choices And Guys out. An episode that is functional to the plot, because it inserts an event that marks a watershed between the before and the after: Teresa’s unexpected confession.

Edoardo Conte (Matteo Paolillo) is back at the IPM in Nisida after his hospital stay, during which he killed Don Salvatore Ricci (Raiz). He is thoughtful about the future of himself and the Ricci clan. He wants to take Don Salvatore’s place, but without being discovered by Rosa (Maria Esposito), unaware that he is the murderer of her father. And then think of Teresa (Ludovica Coscione), the love of his life.
One day Teresa shows up for the interview, obtained thanks to a “special reason”. Once seated facing each other, she spills the beans: “I’m pregnant. Don’t ask me if it’s yours, because it’s yours and you know it.”, points out. Edoardo is over the moon. She reminds him that they will be “bound forever.” And before he can say a word, she adds that he wants to keep it and that she is willing to raise him even on her own.
Conte is really in love and tells her he wants to be there. Teresa, however, is aware of the situation and asks him: “How long will you be there?”, putting him with his back against the wall. Edoardo is evasive as always: «My love, what should I do? You know my situation» he replies. Once again, Teresa demonstrates that she has a strong and decisive character. «And now you know mine»he concludes before getting up and leaving.

The possibility of a different life
It doesn’t end here, because a few days after Edoardo he has her called and promises that he will be «the best father in the world. I swear to you that I will love him with all of myself, I will protect him from all evil, I will always be present. Do you believe me?”. It’s not enough for Teresa and she raises the stakes. «I don’t want our son to follow yours street”he simply says.
Faced with Conte’s reluctance, he insists: «You can always change your life. When my father accepts this child – and he will – he will sort everything out and take you to work with him.” Then the final thrust: «You are miraculously alive, but do you really care so little for me, for our baby, for yourself? You have to change your lifepromise me.”

Sea outside 4Edward divided between good and evil
Teresa and Edoardo’s out-of-schedule has a decisive importance during the fourth season. Conte finds himself at a crossroads. On the one hand, his wife Carmela encourages him to make his way in the underworld and does everything to save their marriage, asking him to have another child. On the other Teresa shows him the possibility of a life different from the one he is used to. A new reality that someone will create for him. It represents hope.
Although Edoardo only knows the law of crime, his love for Teresa is stronger than anything. He is willing to do anything to not lose her and knows that, although she has always waited for him, this time he must make a definitive choice. He has always dreamed of becoming a boss and Teresa belongs to that side of Naples where her mother took him as a child when she cleaned. They were the homes of the lords, the ones they would never have been able to afford.
Nonetheless, An affinity unites them which smoothes out the sense of defeat and revenge. Indeed, thanks to her he can build a future for himself, far from blood and crime. If he accepted his proposal, it would be a victory not only for him, but also for the other characters. First of all Massimo (Carmine Recano), the Commander who dedicated his life to saving young prisoners.

Will he find the courage to change?
After years of misdeeds, bloody crimes and missteps out of thirst for power, Edoardo has the opportunity to finally experience that sea outside that gives the series its title. Obviously it’s not easy, because in addition to Carmela, he has to manage the dynamics with Rosa, who is also torn between a life with Carmine (Massimiliano Caiazzo) far from Naples and the desire to avenge her father.
Above all, from his point of view leave the climb in the Camorra to start a new life in a suit and tie it would mean having killed Don Salvatore for nothing. With the consequence that he would not be able to take possession of the Riccis’ money. Lots of money, which would allow him to live a life of wealth and, once again, try to take command in the clan.
Only at the end of the fourth season will Edward decide which side he is on. He will make an important choice and will pay the consequences. For the purposes of the story, it will be a lesson for everyone and it will shine a light on the continuous struggle between evil and good which will pave the way for new scenarios.
