Sea Outside 4: Carmine leaves, and Rosa? Episode previews

TO Sea outside 4 comes another twist. In the episodes airing tonight at 9.20pm on Rai 2 Carmine Di Salvo leaves IPM to start a new life. A necessary farewell for the plot, which thus opens up new scenarios in view of the fifth season.

Of all the characters in the series, Carmine (Massimiliano Caiazzo) it is the one that has had the most important growth. He is the son of Donna Wanda (Pia Lanciotti), head of one of the most powerful clans, but he wants nothing to do with the Camorra. Having entered the Nisida juvenile penitentiary at a very young age, he found Massimo in the commander (Carmine Recano) a reference point. A father figure who always followed him, advised him, succeeding in his aim: to bring him back on the right path.

In the first three seasons he had another inmate, Filippo, next to him (Nicolas Maupas), a putative brother who ended up in prison for a fatal mistake that he paid dearly for. They recognized each other immediately: two good souls who ended up in a circle of hell from which they manage to escape. And then there is Rosa Ricci (Maria Esposito)daughter of Don Salvatore (Raiz), bitter rival of her mother Wanda.

In the last episode, Carmine asked her to marry him and Rosa accepted. Now they have to think about laying the foundations for a future different from the one they are destined for. A new life together, in a distant place, where blood ties count for nothing. Carmine has asked to enter the protection program and wants to take her with him. Rosa, in turn, is sure of the love she feels, but is not equally sure that she wants to move on and say goodbye to the Ricci clan, the last link with her brother Ciro (Giacomo Giorgio) and her father. Thus the day arrives when Carmine must say goodbye to IPM.

What future for Rosa and for the plot?

Before entering the protection program, he is hosted by Beppe (Vincenzo Ferrera). The evening he leaves, however, his mentor, Massimo, is not there to hug him, still angry about the attack on his wife Consuelo (Desirée Popper) ordered by Donna Wanda. On the other hand, there is Pino (Artem) who reminds him that hope must never die. For both, in fact, in one way or another there is still the sea outside.

Carmine’s exit starts a new chapter for the series. On the one hand, Rosa continues to mature her decision and only in the season finale will it be discovered whether they will finally get married. On the other, the plot is preparing to do without a character who has until now been fundamentalwhich is a glimmer of light in a world of death and blood.

Opening up a potential new narrative idea is the truth about Rosa’s mother, Maria (Antonia Truppo). Thanks to a series of flashbacks, it turns out that she is not dead as everyone believes, but she has a new identity. Now Her name is Assunta Esposito and the creator of everything was Ciro shortly before his death. Rosa is unaware of everything, but it is plausible that in Sea outside 5 the link will be explored.

Carmine isn’t the only character to leave the series. The fourth season has already seen Don Salvatore leave the scene, killed by Edoardo Conte (Matteo Paolillo). In this case a halfway exit, as he continues to appear in several flashbacks. As far as Edoardo is concerned, however, it is not yet known what will happen, but the twist could also arrive shortly.

Then it was Alfredo D’Angelo’s turn (Giuseppe Tantillo), the lawyer engaged to Silvia (Clotilde Esposito), killed by Micciarella (Giuseppe Pirozzi) in front of the cemetery. Still, Giulia aka Crazy J (Clara Soccini), now an adult and transferred to San Vittore prison after setting fire to a recording studio.

Of all of them, Carmine is the only one to leave because he is saved. A positive twist in a story in which hope is the final goal, but often unachievable. Massimiliano Caiazzo debuted in 2016 in the series Fury and in recent years he has acted in the cinema in School of mafia And Very quietly. In 2022 he was in the cast of the film Filumena Marturanowhich was followed the following year Unfitting, by Giovanna Mezzogiorno. In the next few months he will be in the series Underbois.
