The baby was born on December 1, 2024 and was screened for SCID, with a seriously combined immune system. This is the head of the Flemish government, written by the Flemish Minister of National Affairs, Hilde Crevits (CD&V).

Since May 2023, the screening program will be launched with two different substances: ‘homocystinuria’ and ‘holocarboxylase synthetase deficiency’. On December 1, 2024, the screening will come to SCID, a seriously combined immune system, which is now available.
For children with SCID, the child has a child who never has good protection against harmful infections. Meestal begins the klachten in the first maanden na de geboorte, maar soms also pas later. In total, the blood pressure is now 19 years old.
