Coach Ange Postecoglou’s team won 2-0 (0-0) at the Heart of Midlothian from Edinburgh on Sunday and are uncatchable ahead of their great rivals Glasgow Rangers with four games to go. Celtic celebrated their 53rd championship title at Tynecastle Stadium. Arch-rivals Glasgow Rangers, record champions with 55 titles, only stayed in second place.

Japanese striker Kyogo Furuhashi scored in the 67th minute before South Korea’s Hyeon-Gyu Oh (80′) added the lead. Alex Cochrane saw a red card for the hosts in the 45th minute.

Celtic with a chance of a treble

Celtic can achieve the Scottish treble for the eighth time this season: the team of team manager Ange Postecoglou has already won the League Cup, in the final of the Scottish FA Cup Celtic will meet second division side Inverness Caledonian on June 3rd.

Champions for almost 40 years, always from Glasgow

For almost 40 years, Celtic and Rangers have fought for the championship in Scotland. The last exception was when Aberdeen FC won the title in the 1984/1985 season with team manager Alex Ferguson.
