Glasgow (AP) – The Glasgow Rangers are in the final of the Scottish Football Cup. In the city derby at record winners Celtic, coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team won 2-1 (1-1, 0-0) after extra time.
In regulation time, Greg Taylor put Celtic ahead in the 64th minute before Scott Arfield (78th) equalized. Carl Startfelt, who was under pressure from Fashion Sakala, then decided the duel between the arch-rivals with his own goal in the 115th minute. Rangers are opponents of RB Leipzig in the semi-finals of the Europa League and have already knocked out Borussia Dortmund in the competition.
In the Scottish Cup final, Rangers meet Heart of Midlothian, who beat Hibernian Edinburgh 2-1 in the city derby the day before in the first semi-final.
