Scotch & Soda continues to expand, opening 20 new stores.
The new stores will open in cities including Washington DC, Boston, Shanghai, Beijing, Dubai, Doha, Tel Aviv, Frankfurt, Johannesburg and Cairo, the Dutch brand announced on Thursday. In addition, the largest European flagships outside the Netherlands are to open their doors in London and Milan.
In addition to the new locations, existing stores are also to be redesigned with the new “Free Spirit” store concept. This affects stores in cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, Lyon, Madrid, Barcelona and Luxembourg.
“With the launch of new locations around the world, the growth momentum of the past year has not abated,” said CEO Frederick Lukoff. “We look forward to opening our flagship stores in Milan and London, two of the world’s most compelling fashion retail cities, and to bringing our brand, inspired by the free spirit of Amsterdam, to new customers worldwide.”
In Germany, a store opened in Frankfurt in February and in Cologne in March. In addition, the first franchise store in Germany, which is located in Sindelfingen near Stuttgart, was launched last year. Overall, Scotch & Soda wants to be represented with 42 stores in Germany by the end of the year.
In North America, Scotch & Soda operates 50 locations with the new stores – 46 in the USA and four in Canada. A store opened there in Scottsdale, Arizona in February and a location in Boston last week. The brand is also coming to the US capital in May, to Detroit in mid-June and to San Antonio in June.
But the company is also continuing its expansion in China. The first store will open in Beijing this month. There are also two locations in Shanghai. Other new locations include Riyadh and Dammam in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Lusail in Qatar, Tel Aviv (second location), Cape Town and Cairo.
