CEO Reiner Unkel and Scoretex GmbH go separate ways.

After “successful implementation” of the ‘Home of Brands’ concept, Unkel will leave the clothing group behind brands such as Joy Sportswear, Venice Beach and Hot Sportswear “at his own request” and after the handover has been handed over to the company, Skoretex said on Thursday. He will be devoted to new projects in the future.

Before Unkel became part of the management in 2020, he was active as a consultant for Scoretex. During his time at the top of the company, he initiated the integration of the Venice Beach, Joy Sportswear, Hot Sportswear and Canyon Women Sports.

In the future, Scoretex will be managed by Marco Hoffmeyer, who has been working as a Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer in the company since March. He is formally supported by Dirk Sänger, managing partner of the parent company C. Melchers GmbH & Co. KG, based in Bremen, who is appointed as managing director of Scoretex GmbH, but has no operational task, according to the announcement.

“I am pleased that with Mr. Hoffmeyer to win a proven industry expert and experienced manager, and I am sure that he is the right person to lead the scoretex into the future,” said Unkel.
