Wendy van Dijk loses all her shows one by one, now that Hilversum is suddenly cutting back on Studio-Amusement. “Her program 3 minutes of Fame will not return to TV either.”

It is very fair from Wendy van Dijk: she has confirmed in front of the camera of Shownieuws that she is no longer on TV and that not much is coming. Although the presenter is under contract with SBS 6 for another two years, there is suddenly much less interested in Studio-Amusement, because the viewer prefers to watch talk shows.

No new season

It’s a shame for Wendy, says Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden. “We recently talked about Wendy van Dijk, who said he might be afraid of the fact that she would no longer be allowed to make new studio shows,” he says in the podcast Strictly private.

He continues: “One of those studio shows was 3 minutes of fame, which was on television last year and quite a reasonable success for SBS, and that now stops for Wendy. There will be no new season.”

‘Very expensive’

3 minutes of fame: It’s your lucky day most people have escaped, but it was a program in which singing talents were secretly registered by their friends or family. The coaches involved were Roxeanne Hazes, Sanne Hans, Jaap Reesema, Mart Hoogkamer and fast.

Private editor-in-chief Evert Santegoeds: “These are expensive programs and a cheaper alternative is quickly devised. If you see what talk shows do nowadays … Moreover, it is a hot fall with the elections and the Marco Borsato case.

Test balloons

Studioshows are just far too expensive for what it yields, says Evert. “It is almost impossible to pay with that audience and those big sets and can no longer be earned back with the advertising time that is in between. That is only twelve minutes per hour.”

“More talent shows have disappeared in recent years. It is always test balloons that are thrown and sometimes one catches on, such as The Battle of the Bands. There are often all kinds of titles that have not made it.”
