Two scooter riders collided on the Vaart Noordzijde in Assen. Both drivers were injured.
The collision landed one of the two in the water. Bystanders helped the victim onto the side. Several emergency services arrived on the scene and both victims were taken to hospital. It is not known how the accident could have happened. The Vaart Noordzijde has been closed off to car traffic for some time.
