Scooter rider stabs helpful pedestrian in the back with knife

A pedestrian in Tilburg was stabbed in the back with a knife by a man on a scooter on Saturday night. This happened around a quarter past two, on the Langendijk.

The victim was walking there with his dog when the scooter rider approached from the direction of Nijkerkstraat at high speed. A woman was sitting on the back of the scooter. The scooter rider took the bend towards Hindeloopenstraat and the female passenger fell off the scooter. The man immediately ran to the woman with his dog to provide help.

When he got there, the scooter rider immediately pulled out a knife. While the pedestrian tried to defend himself, the scooter rider managed to stab the man in the back. Then the two drove off.

The victim had to go to the emergency room for treatment and filed a report with the police.

Similar notification
It is striking that around the same time the police received another report about a scooter rider who tried to stab someone who wanted to help after a woman fell from the scooter. This time on the Reeshofdijk. No one was injured in this.

The police are looking for the scooter rider. It concerns a white man who is estimated to be about 20 years old. He is about six feet tall, had combed back tightly, was wearing a black sweater, shorts and an earring.

The female passenger is also estimated to be 20 years old. She has long blond hair.
