A scooter rider died this evening in an accident at the Driehuizen in Wervershoof. A police spokesman said there was a collision between a scooter and a car.
Two ambulances and a trauma helicopter arrived to provide assistance. Ambulance staff tried to resuscitate the victim, but to no avail. The victim died on the spot.
The road has been closed to traffic for some time. Police are still investigating how the accident happened.
