A scooter rider only came to a stop about fifteen meters away when he collided with a car in Huizen. The scooter made quite a pendulum. This can be deduced from photos. Pieces of the vehicle are scattered on the ground and the airbag in the car is deployed.
Around eight o’clock tonight a scooter driver was hit on the driveway of the A27 in Huizen. The person wanted to make the crossing at a specially constructed place for (moped) cyclists.
It is not yet known exactly how the scooter rider and the motorist collided. The scooter in question ended up 15 meters away. The driver was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Airbag deployed
Pieces of the vehicle are scattered on the ground and the airbag in the car is deployed. The windshield was completely smashed.
The road has been closed and police are investigating what happened.
