A scooter rider (25) from Oosterhout died in his hometown around a quarter past five on Wednesday afternoon after a collision with a truck. The police report this.
The accident happened on Statendamweg, before the entrance to Martens Beton. The emergency services arrived quickly but could do nothing more for the victim. The scooter rider died at the scene of the accident.
The police are investigating how the accident could have happened. Discussions were also conducted with the 30-year-old Tilburg resident who was behind the wheel of the truck. The street was temporarily closed in both directions.
