One person was injured in an accident involving a van and a scooter in Assen this morning. The vehicles collided just after eleven o’clock at the intersection of Europaweg-Noord, Industrieweg and Borgstee.
The scooter rider was treated in the ambulance after the incident and taken to hospital for further examination. As far as is known, the motorist escaped unscathed, although that does not apply to the front of his van: it was severely damaged.
Traffic that wants to pass the intersection is delayed due to the deployment of the emergency services. It is unknown how the accident happened.
