Police arrested a scooter rider this afternoon after a chase who had ignored a stop sign. That happened around 4.40 pm at the intersection of Dahliastraat with Anemoonstraat in Hoogeveen.
Several police units had started chasing the scooter rider, who ignored the signal to stop for unclear reasons. It is also unknown why officers wanted the scooter driver to stop.
After the scooter rider was arrested, the police took the scooter away.
