The Puzzle is also convinced that movement strongly stimulates the development of children. From September, the school will apply moving learning in all possible subjects. Teacher Nikki, Beweegschool De Puzzle Oostende: “What are we noticing now? By teaching lessons in a different way, children suddenly love to do things. And we achieve the same goals.”

Chris Vandecasteele, general director of Scholengroep Stroom: “A unique project in Flanders. We got the inspiration from the Netherlands. Many children also find it increasingly difficult to sit still. Perhaps that is why the teachers are won over by this new way of teaching.

Miss Mauranne, Beweegschool De Puzzle Oostende: “You go outside more. You are more active yourself. You are less likely to get stuck in a rut. For me, it’s a really positive experience.”

Whether they really remember better and learn more will have to be proven next year, but the children love it.
