Ajax has won against Feyenoord in a lively Classic. The team from Amsterdam came back from behind twice and eventually won 3-2.
The Limburgers Perr Schuurs (Ajax), Jorrit Hendrix and Bryan Linssen (both Feyenoord) made playing minutes as substitutes.
Not the wise
Without Limburg input, the Classic started spectacularly. Luis Sinisterra put Feyenoord ahead after eight minutes. Ajax had trouble with Feyenoord’s game and was able to create few opportunities. Still, it came alongside via Sébastien Haller. Feyenoord was not put off by the goal against and a few minutes later took the lead again via Guus Til: 1-2, also the halftime score.
Limburg input
In the second half, the Classic also received input from Limburg. Jorrit Hendrix from Panningen came on after more than an hour of play for Jens Toornstra and moments later Bryan Linssen from Neeritter also came in for Cyriel Dessers. Just under fifteen minutes before the end, Ajax equalized via Dusan Tadic. Ajax then increased the pressure and started looking for the winning one. That came in the 86th minute via Antony. As an extra lock on the door, trainer Erik ten Hag brought Perr Schuurs inside the lines. The player from Nieuwstadt saw Antony receive his second yellow card, but did win the victory with Ajax.
