Thomas Klein is the new managing director at Schuh und Sport Mücke GmbH.
Klein took up the position on March 7, the trading cooperation ANWR Group, to which Schuh Mücke belongs, announced on Wednesday. He takes over for Inge Schardt, who is leaving the company “due to different views on the strategic direction”.
Before his appointment as managing director, Klein was already a member of the extended management board. Now he runs the retailer together with Kathrin Schmidt. He has been with Mücke since 2011, most recently as authorized signatory and head of Human Resources & Organization. In his new role, he is responsible for sales, branch management, e-commerce and marketing.
Klein has over 30 years of retail experience. He held various management positions, including at Mey & Endlich, Puma and Wöhrl.
