Motorcycle pilot Marcel Schrötter threatens to miss the start of the Moto2 season. The 29-year-old from Vilgertshofen suffered a “small” fracture to his left hand during testing in Portimao, Portugal, on Monday, according to his Intact GP team.
Schrötter immediately went to Barcelona for a more precise diagnosis and a possible operation, it was said. “Not the end of the test we were hoping for,” the pilot wrote on Instagram. The season begins on March 6th at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar.
Schrötter is facing his eleventh year in Moto2. Last season he finished tenth in the championship.
