National basketball player Dennis Schröder was dismayed by the recent shooting spree in his adopted home of the USA.
“People going to school and doing something like that – it has to stop. We’ve been talking about it for years,” said Schröder on Wednesday in Berlin: “Sending my children to school or to kindergarten – I don’t want that anymore in America . This is just too dangerous. My condolences to all the families. It’s sad.”
A gunman killed at least 21 people, including 19 children, in Uvalde, Texas on Tuesday. In the past few weeks, several gun attacks have left the United States in shock.
Schröder knows the state of Texas well, most recently he played for the Houston Rockets in the NBA.
