After Aus at Al-Ain
Coach Alfred Schreuder is not returning to Europe for the time being. A few weeks after leaving Al-Ain, the former Hoffenheim coach signed with UAE Pro League opponent Al-Nasr. The club presented the Dutchman via social media, initially without mentioning the length of the contract.
In Germany, Schreuder was recently considered a possible successor to Urs Fischer at Union Berlin. Instead, former Trabzonspor coach Nenad Bjelica took over at the Alte Försterei. According to the club, Schreuder left Al-Ain because of different ideas about certain processes between Schreuder, the coaching team and the club management. The engagement only lasted four months. Schreuder had an extremely strong record of 13 wins from 15 games. He has only lost twice during his time in the Emirates so far. Al-Nasr is in ninth place in the table after only two wins this season.
