“Thanks to Ter Strepe, we already offer special secondary education in Middelkerke. We have been experiencing the lack of a regular secondary school as very disadvantageous for some time,” says Mayor Jean-Marie Dedecker.
“We are a municipality of almost 20,000 inhabitants, so I find it very unfortunate that local children have to go outside our municipality for general secondary education. In Middelkerke we do more than construct beautiful buildings and streets. We owe it to our position to offer secondary education. Thanks to the collaboration with Scholengroep Stroom, we are now partially filling that gap.”
