The RBB Broadcasting Council fired director Patricia Schlesinger (61) after her hearing! A comment from BZ editor Stefanm Peter.
The vote was unequivocal: 22 of the 23 present members of the broadcasting council voted for the immediate dismissal of Patricia Schlesinger as RBB director.
Anything else would have been very surprising. The allegations against Schlesinger are too serious, the effects of their actions are too great.
But she made a bold appearance on Monday. No trace of real insight. She “overlooked some things,” Schlesinger lamented. All the luxury, all the splurge – supposedly not her fault. Apparently not even the otherwise tame broadcasting councilors wanted to believe her.
Now it’s up to the next RBB body, the board of directors. He absolutely has to make sure that Schlesinger doesn’t get any severance pay! A “golden handshake” would be more than inappropriate.
