Schiphol boss Benschop wants to cancel flights during the summer holidays | Financial

CEO Dick Benschop reported this on Tuesday afternoon. He has apologized to travelers for the problems that arose at the airport last week. “This May holiday hurts,” said the CEO. He attributes the problems to more travelers and fewer staff than expected, partly due to corona and flu cases.

For the airlines, the decision is a huge downer, because next summer will be the first after the corona crisis that they can ‘full’ again.
