Schiesser mother Delta Galil takes over the Organic Basics lingerie label

The Israeli textile group Delta Galil Industries Ltd. has further expanded its portfolio. On Tuesday, the parent company of the traditional German brand Schiesser announced the takeover of Organic Basics. Delta Galil has acquired the trademark rights and certain assets of the sustainable lingerie label founded in Denmark in 2015, according to a statement. Financial details of the transaction were not released.

Isaac Dabah, CEO of Delta Galil, explained the acquisition: “Organic Basics is a digital brand with a focus on sustainability and ethical production. These values ​​align perfectly with Delta Galils’ efforts to create a more sustainable fashion industry through innovation,” he said in a statement. The group now sees “a great opportunity to drive the growth of the Organic Basics brand worldwide, especially in the USA and Europe,” says Dabah.

The CEO also announced that the Organic Basics range would be “expanded to include items for the whole family”. There are concrete plans to also offer products for babies and children as well as additional parts for women and men in the future. The first corresponding collection is to be launched worldwide in the coming year.
