left-back
FC Schalke 04’s injury concerns have grown once again. As the Royal Blues announced on Wednesday, left-back Thomas Ouwejan will be out for the remaining competitive games until the winter break. The 26-year-old Dutchman injured the inner ligament of his left knee and has to take a break. Ouwejan (contract until 2024) has been in nine of twelve Bundesliga games in the Schalke starting line-up.
Due to injuries, Schalke are also currently unable to play central defender Leo Greiml (meniscus surgery), Marcin Kaminski (cut on the calf), Ibrahima Cissé (muscle injury) and Sepp van den Berg (ligament injury), as well as midfielder Rodrigo Zalazar (metatarsal fracture). The newly promoted occupies the last place in the table before the 13th match day and has already had a change of coach. To the injured list of the S04.
Of the #S04 has to do without Thomas Ouwejan in the year-end sprint. The left-back injured the inner ligament of his left knee in the game against SC Freiburg and will therefore not be available for the remaining three competitive games
