“Hot for a new experience”
Teemu Pukki leaves Norwich City on a free transfer at the end of the season. The 33-year-old center forward, who played for Schalke 04 between 2011 and 2013, will not renew his expiring contract with the Canaries. This was officially announced by the English second division club on Wednesday. “I’ve loved my time at this great club but given the stage of my career and knowing I’ve got a few more years left I’m excited for a new experience,” he said in the statement.
Pukki joined Norwich from Brondby IF in the summer of 2018 and made an impact in his first season in the Championship with 29 goals and 10 assists. The Finn has been promoted and relegated twice and was top scorer (11 goals each) in both Premier League seasons. Overall, he was involved in a goal more than every other game – 88 goals and 29 assists in 204 appearances.
