In 1953, together with Alp Zirek and Halit Talayer, he published Turkey’s first daily sports newspaper, Türkiye Spor. He worked for the British broadcaster BBC for nearly a year. Having made important contributions to the development of radio and television broadcasting in Turkey, Kıvanç became the man of many “firsts” in Turkish television broadcasting. He has served as a presenter at the Olympics and major international events. He is the first Turkish announcer to present the FIFA World Cup on television. He broadcast 10 FIFA World Cup finals on radio and television.
WHEN DID HALİT KIVANÇ RELEASE THE ANNOUNCEMENT?
Celebrating his 50th anniversary in presenting with a jubilee in 2005, Kıvanç received more than 200 awards in competitions organized by the Journalists Association of Turkey, TSYD and other organizations. In 1983, he said goodbye to the match announcer with the President’s Cup match.
Kıvanç presented the programs “Masters with Halit Kıvanç” on NTV television on Sundays, Halit Kıvanç on the microphone on Sunday mornings on NTV Radio, and Futbol Bir Aşk on NTV Spor.
