Judgment in the appeal process against scandal rapper Gzuz (33)! He had hoped to get off with a black eye again, but the judge wouldn’t let him get away with it. The frontman of the hip-hop group “187 Strassenbande” has to go to jail for eight months and two weeks.
Gzuz, whose real name is Kristoffer Jonas Klauß, was sentenced in September 2020 to 18 months in prison and a hefty fine of 300 daily rates of 1700 euros each for violations of the weapons law, drug possession, attempted theft and bodily harm. He appealed against the verdict.
At the start of the trial on January 17 in Hamburg, the musician admitted to hitting a young woman (19) with the palm of his hand in March 2020. He stated that he assumed the fan was filming him. The rapper is said to have apologized twice and paid compensation of 500 euros.
Shortly before the verdict was announced, he asserted: “Today I am a different man.”
According to a court spokesman, the prosecutor’s office has already dropped the charge of attempting to steal an oxygen cylinder from an ambulance. Reason for optimism? Rather not.

On Friday, the judge also dropped the drug charges, but remained adamant about the assault and violations of the gun law. She not only sentenced the rapper to eight months and two weeks in prison, but also to a total fine of 414,000 euros. The sentence is not suspended. The verdict is not yet legally binding.
