SC Paderborn has prematurely terminated the contract with Marcel Mehlem. The second division team announced this via Facebook. The 28-year-old central midfielder came to East Westphalia on a free transfer in 2021. Interrupted by a loan to SV Sandhausen, Mehlem played 32 games for the SCP (one goal/one assist).
According to Transfermarkt information, the right-footed player is continuing his career in nearby Verl at SC in the 3rd division. For Mehlem it would be the fourth station in Germany after Paderborn, Sandhausen and Karlsruher SC. The transfer is expected to be announced on Monday.
