SC Freiburg is on the verge of a sensational entry into the Champions League. In order to be able to keep up in the premier class, the Breisgauer are probably looking into signing a Dortmund attacker.
SC Freiburg would like to expand its staff in view of the impending entry into the Champions League. The Breisgauer should be particularly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund’s Steffen Tigges. At least that’s what the “Sport Bild” reports. Accordingly, the striker with premier class experience – two appearances for BVB this season – has come under the Freiburg’s sights, in particular because of his header power.
With the possible transfer of Tigges’, Freiburg also wants to anticipate the impending departure of Ermedin Demirovic. The Bosnian national striker has been associated with Hertha BSC for months. Demirovic, who has only scored two goals for Sport-Club this season, still has a contract until 2024, according to “Transfermarkt” his market value is 7.5 million euros. Tigges should be much cheaper for Freiburg. The 23-year-old is tied to BVB until 2024, his market value is 1.5 million euros.
The obligation of the Dortmund noble joker is not the only transfer exclamation point that is looming in the Black Forest: As several media reports unanimously, 2014 world champion Matthias Ginter is about to return to SC Freiburg. The defender, whose contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach expires at the end of the season, was born in Freiburg and played for coach Christian Streich’s team until 2014.
