The transfer of Florent Muslija to SC Freiburg is fixed and will take place immediately. The Breisgauers officially presented the 25-year-old offensive player on Wednesday evening; as usual, no information was given about the length of the contract. At SC Paderborn, the working paper would have expired at the end of the season, but in the end it was only about the timing of the transfer.
In order to be able to sign Muslija in January, Freiburg will pay the second division club a transfer fee which, according to “Kicker”, is in the region of 1 million euros. “We have now really approached Paderborn again. The transfer parameters are in a realistic scenario,” Freiburg’s sports director Klemens Hartenbach recently explained.

Now an agreement has been reached, Paderborn is losing its most valuable player in the promotion race. “Flo made very good use of his opportunity at SCP07 and became the focus here. In the negotiations regarding a transfer, we consistently followed the internally agreed line. The final negotiated sum for the immediate change will noticeably help us with our future development in the sporting area,” commented sports director Benjamin Weber.
Freiburg’s sports director Jochen Saier said: “Florent is a versatile offensive player who can play both wide positions as well as in the center. He has played at a consistently good level in the second division for a long time and is now ready for the next step. Florent is technically adept and can initiate actions as well as be a goal threat himself. We are really pleased that he has made such a clear commitment to SC and are very happy about the transfer.”
