SC Freiburg lost a 2-0 lead

SC Freiburg lost a win two weeks before the start of the Bundesliga season.

Coach Christian Streich’s team had to settle for a 3:3 defeat against the French first division side Racing Straßburg in Colmar despite a 2:0 lead after a playing time of 3×45 minutes.

New signing Ritsu Doan (15th) and Vincenzo Grifo (40th) initially scored the SC goals. Kevin Gameiro (75′), Moise Sahi (87′) and Jean-Eudes Aholou (105′, penalty kick) turned the match around before new signing Daniel-Kofi Kyereh (134′) saved Freiburg from defeat.

Next week, Sunday, the tricky task in the DFB Cup awaits the SC at second division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Last season, Freiburg lost to RB Leipzig on penalties in the final.
