National player of Austria
Junior Adamu stands according to the “Crown newspaper“ before moving from RB Salzburg to SC Freiburg. The usually well-informed newspaper reports that “the hottest lead” leads to the sports club. The 21-year-old center forward is under contract in Salzburg until 2025 and has increased his market value to 8 million euros this season. He drew international attention in 2022 with his goal against FC Bayern in the Champions League round of 16 (1-1), when RB had Bayern Munich on the verge of a first-leg defeat.

Adamu, who has been part of Austria’s national team since the end of 2022, has been part of the professional squad of the “Red Bulls” since the 2020/21 season, where he scored 21 goals in 82 mostly short appearances and provided nine assists. At the SC, top joker Nils Petersen (34) is retiring from football after this season and freeing up a place in the center of Christian Streich’s team.
TM user “_CR7_” writes in the rumor mill: “I could very well imagine that, Adamu is going to Germany to a trainer who can really help him.” The expected fee would probably make the attacker at least one of the five most expensive additions make the Freiburg club history – the most expensive purchase since 2020 is Baptiste Santamaria (28) with 10 million euros, who switched to Stade Rennes again in 2021 for 14 million euros.

Adamu would be the third Salzburger to move to Germany this summer: Leipzig have already secured the services of striker Benjamin Sesko (19) and midfielder Nicolas Seiwald (22) for a total of €44m.
