Peter Gillis, known for the well-watched program Familie Gillis on SBS 6, was arrested by the police on May 29, media report if it AD and RTL Boulevard. He would be suspected of assaulting his girlfriend Nicol Kremers, also known from the reality soap. The case will go to court on August 12, it sounds.

Little known

Little is known about what exactly happened. “It is not known exactly what would have happened that night. The victim is said to have not filed a report. The Public Prosecution Service can then always prosecute itself, which would be the case here,” according to the AD.

The Public Prosecution Service informs RTL Boulevard: “We cannot say anything about the manner of abuse, we will explain that at the hearing.”

Show news

The news was announced just before noon in an article on the Shownieuws site, but that article disappeared in no time. The editors may have been recalled by the Talpa management, which of course is not waiting for another face with alleged loose hands. After all, they are already busy rehabilitating Johnny de Mol.

The juice channel Juice Channel has doubts about the journalistic independence of Shownieuws. “It seems that Shownieuws has decided not to throw its own stars for the bus.”

And Yvonne Coldeweijer: “Okay what’s going on Shownieuws? This message will be posted first and then deleted ten minutes later. Why was this removed again? Got a call from uncle John?”

Lawyer does not deny

Peter’s lawyer Ton van de Biezenbos “neither denies nor confirms” the reporting against the AD. Nicol says on Instagram that the reporting is ‘nonsense and not true’, but: “We will not respond further to this reporting.”

A source tells the Juice Channel: “The story is true. Just absolutely not allowed to come out and SBS/Peter do everything for that. Anonymous please, work in the detention center where Peter entered.”

New season

Last week, SBS 6 announced that a new, eighth season of Familie Gillis: Massa is Kassa will start at the beginning of September.

It is unknown whether the channel was already aware of an alleged assault at the time, although parent company Talpa generally has little problem with channels accused of criminal offences.

Update 4 p.m. – Shownieuws has put the article back after three hours.
