SBS 6 has incorporated the silhouette of Peter R. de Vries into the channel logo. The special logo will be on display today, the day he was shot, and the day he died.
Before he started working for RTL Boulevard, Peter R. de Vries made a crime program on SBS 6 for years. Therefore, broadcaster boss Marco Louwerens wanted to reflect in a special way on the fact that today it is exactly one year ago that Peter was shot on the street. .
Fingerprint
Marco had Peter’s silhouette incorporated into the channel logo. “We’re actually making a very small subtle gesture. We have put the silhouette of Peter in a fingerprint shape in the SBS 6 logo that you always see at the top of the screen. You will see that tonight and also on the evening of his death,” he tells Shownieuws.
He continues: “In the past, his fingerprint was always the logo of his program, so we kind of copied that. A little tribute to Peter.”
Emotional
Then Marco gets emotional in front of the camera. “It was only such a short time ago and he is such a special man. Let’s just stick with that.”
Albert Verlinde explains that Marco has worked closely with Peter. “I didn’t really know that, but he actually applied to Peter R. twenty years ago and also worked for him for a while.”
RTL Boulevard
RTL Boulevard tonight is completely dominated by Peter R. de Vries. “We are going to look back on the past year, including Peter’s children Royce and Kelly. We want to put on the best show again. Show what Peter has achieved and brought about in the past year, and what he will achieve in the future.”
“Because his legacy continues. And if we as RTL Boulevard can contribute even a little bit, in whatever way, then we will. For Peter. Our Peter.”
