SBS 6 has images on the shelf of Rob Geus leading a gangbang, but has consciously chosen not to broadcast it. “Weird, isn’t it. Can you imagine what that episode was like.”
Rob Geus was one of the big crowd pullers of SBS 6 for years, but nowadays he seems to be baking some pancakes somewhere in a restaurant. He really wants to go back on television, but that’s not going to work out just yet. And that while there is even some unused material on the shelf.
Confetti Gangbang
For the Drekwerk program, Rob came to the most bizarre places, without knowing in advance where he was going. And sometimes an episode has been rejected. “One”, he says in the Panorama† “I once had to supervise a gangbang at a swimming pool in a house.”
Guide a gang bang? How? “By firing a confetti cannon in a strange suit every time an older guy came. SBS thought that was too intense to broadcast. Bizarre, huh. Can you imagine what that episode was like.”
bottle of champagne
Rob doesn’t understand that. He thinks that SBS 6 should still broadcast it. “I bet a good bottle of champagne that, if you were to bring it on the air now, you would easily attract 1.5 million viewers.”
He continues: “It would score huge, because the viewer will be just as amazed as I was at the time. You can see that very clearly from my face. I was really shocked that things like this happen, every weekend, with so much money involved.”
Down TV
If SBS 6 doesn’t feel like it, Rob would also like to make some Down television, like Johnny de Mol did for years. “I recently spoke to a producer about it and he seems to see something in it.”
“If a station believes in it, and we are having those conversations at the moment, we may just come up with it this year. If it doesn’t work, that’s fine too.”
