Çaykur Rizespor Press Spokesperson Selim Selimoğlu said that they have full confidence in coach Bülent Korkmaz and that he will be at the head of the team next season.
Selimoğlu stated that they had a very bad start to the season and that 1 point in the first 10 weeks outstripped them all season. Emphasizing that they made great efforts to recover psychologically, Selimoğlu stated that despite catching a series in certain periods, the continuity did not come and they could not collect the desired points in the outer field.
Reminding that Coach Bülent Korkmaz took office in the 27th week, Selimoğlu said, “Our coach came to duty at a time when things got harder. In our meeting with him, knowing that the conditions for staying in the league were difficult, we signed a 1.5-year contract whether we fell or stayed. “I don’t want to be the teacher who leaves. He did his best. We have full faith in our teacher. We will pull the team out together from where we dropped.” said.
Explaining that they have been working on staff structuring for two weeks, Selimoğlu made the following assessment:
“Some players parted ways during the week. Those whose contracts expired and those who were considered in the team were sent. We are discussing with our players who played in the last match. There are some of our loan players who left, we have some people we want to stay. We are meeting with the players reported by our coach. According to the results, there will be meetings with the players this week. With the transfer budget. After the relevant decision is made, we will hold talks on certain names.”
Stating that the transfer committee will be formed at the meeting of the board of directors tomorrow, Selimoğlu added that they aim to enter the league ready by completing the new structuring until the camp period.
