The 50th anniversary of Kaarle Kustaa’s coming to power will be celebrated next week in Stockholm.
The president of the Republic Sauli Niinistö attended by his spouse, Dr Jenni Haukion with the king of Sweden Karle XVI Gustav for the 50th anniversary celebrations on the 14th–15th September 2023 in Stockholm.
The program begins with a gala performance of the Royal Opera at the Drottningholm Palace Theater on September 14.
The next day, the presidential couple will attend a celebratory service and watch the royal changing of the guard ceremony.

The visit ends with a gala dinner hosted by the royal couple at Stockholm’s Royal Palace.
On September 15, it will be 50 years since King Kaarle Kustaa’s ascension to power.
