Saudi Arabia denies report of increase in oil production in exchange for crown prince immunity

Saudi Arabia denies a report by business newspaper ‘The Wall Street Journal’ that oil cartel OPEC could increase oil production by half a million barrels a day at its meeting in December. According to Saudi energy minister Abdulaziz bin Salman, there is currently no talk of an increase in production within the cartel. Oil prices showed significant movement due to the reports. The oil production increase would be a reward in exchange for judicial immunity for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the US.
