FOOTBALL – DZOH has been unbeaten in the 2nd division J all season and this afternoon the men of trainer Roy Stroeve can finish the job in Haren against Gorecht, also the only remaining competitor. The difference between the two teams, with two games left to play, is three points.
The assignment for the home club is clear. That team will have to win, because DZOH’s goal difference is much better (+29 for Gorecht and +38 for DZOH).
But it is not the only squatter in Saturday football. What about the fight for the title in the 4th division C, with three teams that barely avoid each other: Niekerk, Middelstum and ONR. Niekerk has 48 points with two more matches, Middelstum and ONR follow with 46 points. The same applies to SETA, Scheemda and NWVV in the 5th division F. There is also only three points difference between those three clubs.
In the 4th division D, the two relegation candidates face each other: Nieuw Balinge and Tiendeveen. Both teams have yet to win this season. With four points from 22 matches, Nieuw Balinge is penultimate and Tiendeveen has achieved two points. With two games left on the schedule, there is a good chance that this afternoon a decision will be made which team will be relegated directly and which team will get a second chance in the postseason.
