Satudarah leader hears heavy demand from the Public Prosecution Service: 7 years in prison

On Thursday, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) demanded a prison sentence of 7 years against Xanterra M., from Tilburg. He was one of the leaders of the banned motorcycle club Satudarah. In the eyes of the Public Prosecution Service, that club was a criminal organization that was guilty of, among other things, theft, extortion, violence, possession of weapons and drug trafficking.

Tilburger M. himself is also suspected of laundering 129,700 euros and possession of a rifle with hail cartridges.

At the end of last year, four other Satudarah leaders were already convicted. These included Xanterra’s brother Angelo and the treasurer of the club from Goirle.

They received prison terms ranging from 3.5 to 5 years. The case of Xanterra M. was then postponed because his lawyer was ill. The requirement of the Public Prosecution Service (7 years) is the same as with the other leaders.

Major Police Actions
M. already came into the picture with the police in 2010. Together with other club members, he was convicted by the court in Breda for, among other things, possession of weapons.

The police did not let go of the club. After a raid on the clubhouse at the Zevenheuvelenweg in Tilburg, things went quickly. M. (48) was suspected of being a member of a criminal organization – the motorcycle club – for which he is now on trial.

Tilburg
At the end of September 2017, a series of raids followed in Tilburg, among other places. That day, 14 houses, 3 commercial buildings and several garages were searched. About 200 police officers, 16 public prosecutors and 9 examining magistrates were involved. A year later there were again raids.

During the next two days of session before the court in Zwolle, M. may still defend himself. After that, it will be announced when the judge will make a decision.

The motorcycle club existed since 1990 and was banned by the court in 2018, as were other MCs such as No Surrender.
