Actor Fairy tale Silvo, 60, will be seen on the big screen this autumn in the movie Sieniretki, and at Tampere-talo he is employed by the restaurant theater performance “The Hunt for the Lost Taste”. Silvo says that the calendar has filled up nicely recently after the quiet corona years.

– I also do a lot of lectures around Finland related to comprehensive well-being, interaction and nutrition.

Meditation and yoga

The busy schedule means that the actor has to reserve a lot of time for recovery as well. For Silvo, this means, among other things, meditating.

– When there is schedule pressure in life or something upcoming is exciting, for example, I tend to wake up at five or six and do meditation. When you feel like there are too many thoughts in your head, it’s good.

Audiobooks are also Satu Silvo’s favorite way to relax. Jussi Eskola

Silvo also tends to do yoga.

– In addition, I generally focus on breathing and, for example, picking plums. I try to push harmful emotions out of my mind and focus on what is essential, i.e. pleasant work projects. Everyday life should be fun, and I try to make the most of happy moments at work as well.

Beautiful scenery

Silvo experienced a happy moment recently on the set of the film Sieniretki, when he arrived for the first time on the set in Kasnäs, Kemiönsaari, in the middle of the archipelago landscape. The route to the filming location was familiar to Silvo, as he used to go to the summer resort in Iniö with his family in the same scenery.

– When we went to the filming, the feeling was absolutely insane.

Magnificent seascapes are still in the actor’s mind from time to time.

– Memories of when the children were small and we were in the same scenery flooded my mind. The filming was like returning to those years.

Own restaurant

In addition to acting and lecturing for years, Silvo has already run his own vegetarian restaurant, Silvoplee, in Helsinki for 23 years. With Corona raging, it was difficult to keep the restaurant running, and the actor openly told at the time that the restaurant was under threat of closure.

In the end, Silvo found a new partner for the restaurant, and it was saved. Now he is satisfied that he no longer has to run the restaurant alone as an entrepreneur.

– Actually, I was just looking for a partnership or joint venture to run Silvople. Alone, it got pretty heavy over the years. Now Silvoplee has broader shoulders to develop and survive little by little.

– I am really grateful for that, he sums up.
