Sasu Salin has been named Susijeng’s new captain.
At club level, Salin, 31, who represents CB 1939 Canarias from Tenerife, follows in an honorary role Shawn Huffwhose national team career ended at the EC competitions played in Germany.
Before Huff’s seven-year stint in the national team, Hyöri was the head coach Hanno Möttölä.

The first match of Salini’s captaincy is the World Cup qualifier against Germany on November 11. Three days later, Finland meets Estonia.
Susijengi has already secured a place for next year’s World Championships in the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan.
