Sarah van Soelen and her family are taking steps against André Hazes Jr. They demand that they be removed from his documentary for RTL’s Videoland and are already meeting with the makers on Monday.

The news about the love reunion between André Hazes Jr. and Monique Westenberg has hit Sarah van Soelen and her family hard, says Patty Brard, who spoke with them in Show news† The information from Yvonne Coldeweijer that Sarah still thought André would return to her, seems to be correct.

Liar Andre

Sarah jumped out of her skin this week because of that love reunion. She yelled at the juice channels that she blocked André and told Shownieuws that he is a liar. “It’s a good ending. I don’t need André Hazes for anything. You get a lot of lies. I fit for that.”

What does Patty think is going on? She has spoken with Camp Soelen. “Sarah and her family were quite surprised about the reunion between André and Monique Westenberg. They are going to take action against the upcoming documentary. They don’t want to be in it. The reunion between André and Monique has loosened up a lot for them.”

RTL documentary

The documentary about André should become one of the big hits of RTL’s Videoland after the summer. It’s been around for a long time. “When André and Sarah were still a couple, filming was already taking place. I know that Sarah’s father really opened up his house to Dré and took him in and gave him shelter.”

It’s all in that documentary. “At the time he called him if he knew an apartment for him and then said: ‘Well, come and live with us for a while first.’ From this came the love affair between Sarah and André, if we are to believe everyone (André claimed that was the order, ed.). That eventually went away.”

Confrontation Anxiety

Sarah and her family no longer feel like cooperating with André. “That whole period was of course also filmed by Videoland and now they say: ‘Yes, guys, we never heard from André again.’ He never thanked that father ever again or called or anything. I think he has a little bit of confrontation anxiety.”

It’s all a stench of thanks, says Kamp-Soelen. “He just kind of disappeared from view for everyone. “And now we are immediately presented as the intermediate stage in a documentary that we really don’t want anything to do anymore,” they say.

Quit claims

The Van Soelens are taking steps and they are still strong, Patty knows. “They have not had to sign any quit claims. That’s why I called the production house of the documentary today to ask: ‘What are we going to do about this?’ They have told me that they will sit down on Monday to see how they are going to solve this.”

The documentary makers will like to keep the images in there, Patty thinks. “It seems to me to be quite a problem if you have to solve that with photos of Sarah and the family, from: then he was there that period. I also think it’s a bit sloppy that they didn’t have to sign anything, but it looks like this is going to be a small headache file.”

If documentary maker Cheeru Mampaey does not bow, legal action seems a logical next step.
