Hazes announced on Monday after a long media silence that he would make his comeback at Holland Zingt Hazes in 2023. The singer, who previously said he was taking a break because of an ’emotional burn-out’, also talked about “many addictions” in his message that he has now “overcome”.
Van Soelen, who had a short-lived relationship with Hazes last year, says he knows about the “dark period” in which her ex has been. “I was there myself and I thought that was very sad to see,” she said in a statement RTL Boulevard. “That’s why we did everything we could and let him help. I hope he has learned a lot for himself, knows what he likes, has good people around him and has learned to bite off and keep his feet on the ground because he can handle this. He is the sweetest I know.”
According to Van Soelen, the two are no longer in contact. “I am very sorry because I also lost my buddy. I know he has a heart of gold and my door is always open for him.”
