Actor Sara Melleri poked the main part Juss on Friday evening. He starred Anna Paavilainen directed by Kikka!, the hit star Kikka.
The win meant a lot to the actor. He had been excited for the gala ever since he heard that he was nominated as the winner.
– I’m really happy now. After all, it’s a huge thing when our colleagues have chosen us as a candidate and seen the work, the relieved actor sighed in an interview with Iltalehti.

The movie Kikka! was filmed in the middle of the corona pandemic, so the team had to work in exceptional conditions. During filming, we had to wear face masks and take care of safety intervals, among other things.
– I lived in a studio in isolation during filming, Melleri recalls.

This year, the gendered award categories were removed at the Jussi gala. Melleri says that he made an extraordinary observation on the evening of the gala.
– I think the spirit of the new age can be seen here at the gala. We need more training on equality, anti-racism. It’s not enough that there are marginalized bodies, racialized people in the supporting roles, but they don’t get to play the main roles, says Melleri.
