Social influencer and radio host Sara Forsberg, 29, reveals his gender on social media. He says on his Instagram and Youtube accounts that he is intersex.
Forsberg wants to talk about the topic openly, because he feels it is important.
– I haven’t told you before, but I am intersex. I have something called Swyer Syndrome, and on Intersex Awareness Day I wanted to share my story, Forsberg reveals.

Swyer Syndrome, on the other hand, is one of the male hormone deficiency conditions, which results in the formation of female reproductive organs in the fetus. The gene change also causes, among other things, the absence of puberty.

Background
In his YouTube video, Forsberg sheds more light on his background.
Forsberg says that during middle school, especially the boys bullied and called him names because of his slender body structure. The social influencer reveals that she started filling her bras with socks out of pressure when other girls started to show shapes.
According to Forsberg, he was 16 years old when his mother took him to the doctor because there were no visible signs of puberty. The tests did not find Forsberg’s ovaries, but he had to wait until he found out what caused it.
– The doctor told me that I was a male fetus and I was supposed to be born a boy. But due to a genetic change, I was born a woman, Forsberg says.
At the same time, the research revealed that, due to intersex, Forsberg had two undeveloped testicles. At the same time, she found out that she can never get pregnant, which made her feel bad.
– Now, when time has passed and I’m used to the idea, it doesn’t hurt that much, Forsberg sums up.
Forsberg’s openness about the matter has drawn plenty of praise on his social media accounts. Many have praised the influencer for his courage to reveal a personal matter.
