Three hearts are tattooed on the inside of Sara’s left wrist. They symbolize her three sisters. “They are everything to me. I want to live for them.” The place for the tattoo was not chosen randomly. When it gets dark in her head and the voices come again, Sara damages herself. Her arms and neck are scarred.
