TOpoignant moods and typical atmospheres of the 80s in an unforgettable holiday. Tonight at 21.35 on Channel 5 goes on air Taste of you. The filmdirected by Carlo Vanzina and written together with his brother Enrico, is the sequel to one of the most representative films of their filmography: Taste of sea. The setting is the same, Forte dei Marmi, but the characters and the stories change. What remains unchanged is the desire to photograph and tell an era through specific archetypes.
Taste of youthe plot of the movie
It is the summer of 1984 and the stories of a group of holidaymakers are intertwined at the Costanza factory in Forte dei Marmi. Luca Vigorelli (Eugenio Franceschini) is on vacation with his parents Sandro (Andrea Pucci) and Michela (Valeria Graci). With them there is also Ingrid (Laura Berlin), a German girl whom Luca met the previous summer in Germanytogether with his childhood friend and university classmate Chicco (Matteo Leoni), also in Versilia.
Alberto Proietti (Maurizio Mattioli) is staying with his wife Elena (Nancy Brilli) and daughter Sabrina (Katy Saunders). A distinctly Roman family, in particular Alberto, merchant and avid Romanist. Sabrina is seventeen and grappling with her first crushes. Luca breaks into her heart, but unfortunately she is not reciprocated. Over time she realizes that she has a very interested suitor: Chicco, who falls in love with her at first sight.
Anna Malori (Martina Stella) is a guest of her friend Francesca (Virginie Marsan), lover of a wealthy surgeon, who is also on holiday in Forte dei Marmi. Anna, however, she has recently returned single and knows Armando Malenotti (Giorgio Pasotti). Although Armando is the classic tombeur de femmes, with Anna behaves differently. He’s crazy about her and doesn’t do anything to hide it.
Then, there is Susanna Acampora aka Susy (Serena Autieri), a singer who would like to work in television. One evening he meets the honorable Piero De Marco (Vincenzo Salemme) and hope it can help you. However, he is married to Leonetta (Valentina Sperlì).
Sabrina falls in love with Luca
Day after day, the relationships between the various protagonists take an unexpected turn. Ingrid cheats on Luca with the lifeguard Renato (Paolo Conticini) and they break up. Ingrid leaves and Luca has to deal with the absence of the girl of his dreams.
Meanwhile, Sabrina begins to go out with Chicco. For her he is just a friend, but the boy does everything to win her over. Before leaving, Sabrina confesses her feelings to Luca and they kiss goodbye. The romantic moment is interrupted by the arrival of two policemen. Luca is arrested for being involved in an alleged drug dealing.
Anna also has to deal with a cold shower. One morning she goes to Armando’s house and discovers him in the company of another woman. Armando tries to apologize, but Anna doesn’t want to hear about it and decides to leave again. He joins her at the station and, after declaring his love, forgives him.
One afternoon Piero is in danger of drowning and Alberto saves his life. To repay his debt, he invites him home and is willing to help him obtain permits for the new shop.
Luca is engaged to Nicoletta and Anna forgives Armando
After which the scene shifts to the following year. Each character seems to have had their happy ending, but everything changes. The Proietti family is back on vacation, this time in a rented villa in the hope that it will bode well for the new shop, which opens in September. Once back in Forte dei Marmi, Sabrina rushes to the beach and meets Lucafree again after three months in prison and engaged to Nicoletta (Fiammetta Cicogna). Ingrid also returns, engaged to Renato, who is now also an actor. With him plays Susy, now mistress of the honorable De Marco, who had her enlisted in Drive In.
Anna and Armando are married and recently had a baby. They are very much in love, but also very stressed and so Armando decides to leave for a few days with a friend of his. Savor freedom again and cheat on his wife. When he returns, Anna finds out everything. They argue, Armando runs away and dies in a car accident.
Also the Proietti family receives terrible news: work on the new shop has been interrupted and risks bankruptcy. Alberto turns to the honorable De Marco and they reach an agreement: she will help him in exchange for the house on the days he wants to meet Susy. Alberto accepts, but Elena is absolutely against it. Sabrina sees Luca again and it doesn’t take much for the spark to strike. They are in love with each other, but when Luca discovers that she is engaged to Chicco, he leaves her.
Taste of youthe ending of the film
At the end comes the epilogue for each of the protagonists. A few years later, Francesca marries the surgeon, who has since divorced. Sabrina married Chicco and they have a son. Susy embarks on a relationship with a film producer, with whom she gets married.
Sabrina meets Chicco by chance and they fall in love. In 1993 Alberto saves Piero’s life again, who to repay him helps him open the shop once and for all. Two years later, during a train journey, Anna meets Luca, now an established lawyer. They marry and have a daughter, Beatrice.
The film jumps in time. It’s 2013. Luca and Sabrina return to Forte dei Marmi and the memory of that unlived love is still felt. Between their respective children, Beatrice and Roberto, a sympathy is born. History repeats itself.
